INFANTILE CEREBRAL PARALYSIS
The cerebral paralysis is a condition caused by a cerebral lision that happens before, during or after birth for various reasons ( embolus, hemorrage, lack of oxigen to the central nervous system, etc… ) due to malformation, infection and generic or hereditary deseases. The incidence is 2 or 3 cases every 1000 live births.
Cerebral paralysis cause diplegia ( paralysis of both lower libs), emiplegia ( paralysis of one “emilato” of the body), tetraplegia ( paralysis of four limbs). The major part of paralysis is characterized by the presence of spastic muscles, but you often can find hypotonic and dystonic forms. when present, walking is impaired.
