Effect of Vibratory Stimulation in CNS Disease: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials by the Korean Journal of Health Informatics and Statistics

The Korean Journal of Health Informatics and Statistics – the official journal of the Korean Society of Health Informatics and Statistics (KOSHIS) – published a review on the effect of vibratory stimulation on physical function recovery in individuals with central nervous system disease, in September 2017.

The research identified 933 clinical studies conducted between 2005 and 2017. Information was collected through data search engines such as PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE. The inclusion and exclusion criteria selected for clinical evaluation were essentially linked to the quality of the studies, which are scrupulously described in the article.

The results of this review confirm the potential and positive benefits of Equistasi® in the rehabilitation of these pathologies: only 10 studies out of 933 respected the requested qualitative characteristics. Three of these studies are Italian, two of which were conducted using Equistasi®.
