Future Health Summit 2017 – Equistasi

Equistasi will be one of the topics discussed at the Future Health Summit 2017. The event is being held at the Citywest Convention Centre & Hotel, Co Dublin, Ireland on May 24th and 25th, 2017.

Dr. Daniele Volpe, Director of the Department of Neurosurgery of the Clinic of Villa Margherita of Vicenza will be among the featured speakers. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Padua (Italy) in 1985, and specialized in Geriatrics and Gerontology in 1989, and in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2001. Until 2014, he was the Medical Director of the Neurorehabilitation Unit at the S. John Brothers Hospital in Venice. He has been the Director of the Neurorehabilitation Department in Villa Margherita (Vicenza-Italy) since 2015, and as well as the Director of the Fresco Excellence Centre of Parkinson’s disease and Movement disorders in Vicenza. The Fresco Institute for Italy in Vicenza is involved in the Network of Excellence for Research and Comprehensive Care in Parkinson’s disease with NYU Langone Medical School (New York University) and the NPF (National Parkinson Foundation).

For over 20 years, Dr. Volpe has been working on movement disorders, focusing especially on Parkinson’s disease by adopting a multidisciplinary rehabilitative model of care for persons living with PD. His field of expertise are innovative approaches for the treatment of axial disorders (posture, balance and gait) and non-motor symptoms (ex urinary dysfunctions) in PD with novel devices and innovative rehabilitative programs.
