International Ataxia Awareness Day

Today is International Ataxia Awareness Day (IAAD17).

Ataxia is a rare, neurological disease that affects approximately 150,000 people in the United States. It is progressive, affecting a person’s ability to walk, talk, and use fine motor skills. An estimated 15,000 people in Italy are affected by Ataxia, around 150,000 people in the USA.

International Ataxia Awareness Day (IAAD) is a coordinated effort from individuals and Ataxia organizations around the world to help shed light on this rare disease. Let’s help spread the word and inspire action. #StumbleOntoAtaxia
